Privacy Policy

Latentry is built privacy-first. The short version: Latentry does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything happens on your iPhone.

What we collect

Nothing. Latentry has no accounts, no sign-up, no login, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. We do not operate any server that receives your data, because the app never sends your data anywhere.

How your data is handled

• On-device processing. Every tool — scanning, PDF editing, photo and video capture and editing, measurement, audio, translation, on-device summaries — runs entirely on your device using Apple frameworks. Your content is never uploaded.
• Files you create (scans, PDFs, 3D models, photos, recordings) are saved locally inside the app. They stay on your device unless you choose to share or export them.
• Saving to Photos is add-only and only when you ask: Latentry can place a copy of something you made into your photo library, but it never reads or browses your existing photos.
• Settings (such as appearance, language, units, and your tip-jar supporter status) are stored only in the app's local preferences on your device.

Device permissions

Latentry asks for a permission only for the specific tool that needs it, and the data is used on-device and never transmitted:

• Camera — document/3D scanning, Pro Camera, light meter, QR scanning.
• Microphone — Sound-Level Meter and Tuner (analysed live, not recorded); Pro Video records audio together with your video.
• Motion & barometer — the Altimeter's altitude and pressure readings.
• Location (when in use) — Compass & GPS shows your live coordinates, heading, and altitude. Your location stays on the device; it is never uploaded and place names are not looked up.
• Photo library (add-only) — to save items you create. Latentry never reads your library.

You can change or revoke any permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Latentry is free. It includes an optional tip jar so you can support development if you'd like. Tips are processed by Apple's In-App Purchase; Apple handles the payment and we never receive your payment details or any personal information. The app stores only a local flag indicating that you have tipped (to show a thank-you badge and an alternate app icon).

Children

Latentry does not collect data from anyone, including children, and is safe for all ages.

Third parties

There are none. Latentry contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or data-sharing code.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
